Mad Michael

Well, little Mad Michael was the talk of the town
Folks would all walk away whenever he came around
For he was always so mad and he acted quite mean
Never a smile on his face could be seen
And he said …

Little Mad Michael went outside to play
He was tossing a ball when it rolled away
A little friend came by and wanted to play
But Michael got mad and he chased him away
And he said…

Little Mad Michael went back to his home
He went into the house, but was all alone
So he took out his paints and he painted the floor
He painted the ceiling, the walls and the door
When his mother came home the house was a mess
When she opened the door she got paint on her dress
So she scolded Mad Michael, sent him off to his room
Then he stormed up the stairs
Slammed the door with a BOOM!
And he said…

Soon Michael grew tired and went off to sleep
But the dream that was coming had a lesson to teach
And he dreamed of the circus that came to his town
And Michael became one of the circus clowns
So Michael got silly and went out in the ring
He told a few jokes and he tried everything
But the crowd got real mad and snarled and booed
Popcorn and peanuts and candy they threw
And they said…

Then Michael woke up glad to be in his room
And he looked in the mirror with a face full of gloom
And he thought to himself ‘bout that crowd in his
dream
And the lesson he learned was…
It hurts others when you’re mean
Now he says…
